How we
make money.

Quick answer

Can't Get Cover is free to use and earns money one way: a commission paid by FCA-regulated partners when a visitor who clicks one of our clearly-labelled advertisements buys a policy. Today that means Quotezone (operated by Seopa Ltd) for car insurance comparison across 130+ UK insurers, and Autodosh (a trading style of MediaBlanket Ltd) for car finance. You never pay us anything — the commission comes out of the partner's marketing budget, not added to your premium. No insurer pays us for coverage in our guides, we hold no insurance permissions ourselves, and we run no quote journey of our own: we are a publisher, not a broker or adviser, and the regulated partner handles every quote and sale on its own website. If we would not send a family member through a link, it does not go on the site.

Total transparency. Who pays us, how much, and why it doesn't change what we publish.

The short version

Can't Get Cover is free to use. We earn money when you buy a policy after clicking one of the clearly-labelled advertisements for our regulated insurance partners. The partner pays us a small commission.

This never affects the price you pay. The commission comes out of the insurer's or broker's marketing budget — it's not added to your premium.

And it never affects what our guides say. Our editorial content is written independently of any commercial arrangement, and advertisements are labelled as advertisements wherever they appear.

Our partners (and what they pay us)

Autodosh — Car finance

For car, van and motorbike finance, our advertiser is Autodosh, a trading style of MediaBlanket Ltd. They are an FCA-authorised credit broker, not a lender.

Autodosh is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN: 723605). You can verify them on the FCA Register. Autodosh set out their own commission arrangements in their initial disclosure document. The full detail of our arrangement is on our car finance partner page.

Quotezone (Seopa Ltd) — Annual car insurance comparison

For annual cover, our advertiser is Quotezone, the comparison engine operated by Seopa Ltd, an FCA-authorised firm that panels 130+ UK insurers, including the specialists for harder-to-place situations.

What we will never do

Where our guides end and our advertising starts

We run no quote journey, no comparison engine and no eligibility questions on this website. There is nothing here that asks about your car, your licence or your history, because collecting those answers and pointing you at a product is regulated work and we are not authorised to do it.

What we publish is guides. Alongside them sit advertisements for FCA-authorised firms, each one carrying an "Advertisement" label, the advertiser's name and a note explaining that they pay us. Click one and you leave this site: the quote, the price and the sale all happen on the partner's own website, under their permissions, and you can go to any of them directly without us.

Why we built it this way

Most UK insurance comparison sites are owned by big advertising operations. Some have commercial relationships you'd be surprised to learn about. The FCA introduced new "Consumer Duty" rules in 2023 partly because too many sites were hiding commercial influence behind helpful-looking interfaces.

We chose the opposite path. We tell you exactly what we earn, exactly which partners we work with, and exactly where the line between our guides and our advertising sits. Then we let you decide. That's the model.
